Plenty of Reno backyards have a structurally sound pool from 1978 wearing a thoroughly 1978 finish, and that gap is exactly what a remodel exists to close.
• Pool Resurfacing & Replastering — Pool resurfacing replaces the interior finish once the plaster wears out, which every plaster surface eventually does, because it is a wear layer rather than a permanent part of the pool. Somewhere between twelve and twenty years it goes chalky, then rough underfoot, then it starts etching into little craters that hold dirt no brush will clear.
