Now the part nobody tells you at the pool store: a saltwater pool is a chlorine pool. It just makes its own chlorine instead of asking you to haul it home in a bucket. So this whole debate is less "salt vs chlorine" and more "do you want to manufacture your sanitizer or buy it by the jug."
